FIXER TO FABULOUS’s Jenny Marrs’ favorite Thanksgiving memory is when she surprised her mom with her presence and pregnancy news.

“Six years ago today, we managed to surprise my mom three separate times with: 1) our unexpected arrival, 2) my sister’s family’s unexpected arrival and, most surprising of all, 3) with Luke’s unexpected upcoming arrival ? ? !!” Marrs wrote on Instagram Nov. 20.

Marrs shared footage from the event. Her mom can be seen screaming and crying in the driveway as Jenny’s husband, Dave Marrs, and their four oldest children pull up to her house.

“The Marrs family is in the house!” one of the twins shouts.

Then, Marrs’ sister arrived with her family all the way from Hawaii.

Then, the four Marrs kids walked up with shirts that read “big brother” or “big sister.”

“What? Oh my god! Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? What? Are you pregnant?” Marrs’ mom said. Marrs joked, “No, Mom,” before saying “Yes I am.”

“My mom is THE best person to surprise,” Marrs wrote. “I’ll never get over it. (Remember when we renovated their house here in Arkansas and we surprised them with our family at the reveal? I knew from experience that she would lose it. It’s what she does).“

“She loves nothing more than having her kids and grandkids together. She loves so very big! And, my sweet, quiet Dad,” she continued. “He takes it all in through misty, loving eyes. ?! ? ? ?.”

Currently, Marrs is grieving the loss of her grandmother, who passed early this month.

“My Nana loved generously and laughed often. She was a southern belle who remained fiercely strong, feisty and so beautiful until her final breath. She was larger than life, the world seemed to orbit around her, like the sun,” Marrs said in a post remembering her.

“Everyone — including all my friends from childhood — wanted to be near her. It doesn’t feel real that she could be gone. I want to call her and tell her ‘I love you more’ because then I could hear her say ‘not possible, I love you the mostest.’”

In the midst of their grief, the Marrses are also getting ready for Season 7 of their show to premiere. The new season comes out on HGTV on Dec. 2.

“I think, more than any other season, this one has been wild, stressful, emotional and rewarding. We can’t wait to show you all the projects we’ve been working on and the families we have been working with,” Marrs said. “12 new projects and 12 new stories are coming your way very soon! 🤍”
