On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots in a crazy 35-31 victory. Even though the teams are considered to be big-time rivals, players from both joined together for a moment of prayer on the field after the game.
A video surfaced on YouTube from Patriots Press Pass, which shows Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and several other players from the Buffalo Bills joining together at the 50-yard line for a moment of prayer.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott told the media after the game, “Glory to God. Great win. Appreciate all the Buffalo fans who were here to support us today. Resilient, tough football team. When you’re down like we were at halftime, thought the staff did a great job making adjustments. Players executed.”

Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson had himself another incredible game on Sunday. He totaled 14 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns. His longest run was a 65-yard haul that saw Maye provide a key block for Henderson to snag the touchdown.
After the game, Henderson spoke on that specific play and the grit he saw from his quarterback.
“I just think a play like that shows a lot about Drake Maye, the type of player and person he is, and how unselfish he is. That’s why when I got in the endzone, the first thing I did was point up to God, of course, but then point at him and just let him know I really appreciate that, appreciate his effort,” Henderson said.
Henderson also posted another 52-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown.
“I think the biggest thing is over time being able to get more opportunities and go up against the best of the best each and every week. It’s been helping a lot, just growth,” Henderson said of his big play on Sunday. “We have a great running backs coach as well who disciplines us really well, and he’s been helping me grow as well. I just want to leave it all on the field.”
Henderson has surged at the right time of the season for New England. The Patriots are currently 11-4 and are big contenders to win a Super Bowl.
In the last seven games alone, Henderson has rushed for an average of 55 yards per game. In the first seven games, he struggled to get more than 32 yards. He also rushed for 147 yards against Tampa in addition to his 148 yards against the Bills, according to Bleacher Report.
Despite the massive rivalry between the Bills and the Patriots, many players know that life is so much bigger than football. That’s why they joined together at the fifty-yard line to have a moment of prayer.
