Preschool YouTube sensation Blippi announced that he teamed up with The Grinch this holiday season to teach viewers the importance of spending time with others.
“We love the Dr. Seuss universe because it has this incredible multi-generational affection that few brands in family entertainment can match. Paring that timeless world with Blippi’s global fandom and digital reach creates something really special,” Blippi’s general manager at Moonbug Entertainment, Mike Katzman, told PEOPLE. “Dr. Seuss has been an amazing partner, and this collaboration is a great example of how our characters can spark curiosity, play, and co-viewing for families everywhere.”

The collaboration focused on holiday cheer as the pair played games, tried new things, made a gingerbread house and explored why spending time together during the holidays makes the season so special. Two episodes were released between the pair, one for Blippi’s YouTube channel and one for the Dr. Seuss YouTube channel.
“Blippi has become such a beloved presence for kids and families, and we saw a wonderful opportunity to create something truly magical by bringing his joyful world together with our iconic characters,” said Joie Yale, the executive manager at Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “We’re excited to share this special crossover and can’t wait to bring even more smiles, laughter, and memorable to families everywhere.”
While a partnership with Dr. Seuss may seem like the highlight of a children’s YouTuber’s career, Blippi is no stranger to collaborating with massive names. Last year, for example, the YouTuber partnered up with MAMA MIA! star Amanda Seyfried.
“My kids are absolutely captivated by BLIPPI,” Seyfried said at the time. “It’s wonderful to see them so entertained while learning. That need for imaginative play is one of the reasons I started my children’s playhouse company, Make It Cute, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with BLIPPI.”
Blippi is also among a group of children’s YouTubers who have partnered with mainstream streaming services like Disney+ and Netflix to put their content on these platforms and reach an even wider audience. Blippi even has his own movie to encourage creativity and exploration. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:
BLIPPI’S BIG DINO ADVENTURE does not have great production values. However, the 67-minute movie has a light moral worldview and wholesome, child-friendly content. The characters are excited about the adventures life holds and display curiosity and interest in the world around them. BLIPPI’S BIG DINO ADVENTURE also takes the time to teach children simple lessons in counting, shapes, colors, kinds and names of dinosaurs, and even basic science lessons in density.
Both episodes of the Blippi crossover with The Grinch are now available. The two companies also announced that a Cat In The Hat crossover will also be releasing on Feb. 27 to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday celebration on March 2.
