Tim Tebow constantly encourages his followers to search for the purpose God has for their lives and pursue it wholeheartedly.

He recently explained why he is so passionate about this topic and how anyone can step into their God-given purpose.

“I think it’s a question most people are asking: What is my purpose in life? It’s a question most people are wondering about, trying to figure out…” Tebow told Relevant. “I want to be able to bring people to God’s Word so that they can see scripture answering these questions. Yes, you have a purpose. Your life is important. Your life is valuable. Your life has meaning, and there are good works for you.”

One way that Tebow believes the Lord reveals our purpose to us is through experiences that stick with us. He had an experience when he was in high school that gave him a heart for the overlooked worldwide, and he believes that everyone else has similar experiences that would lead them to their purpose if they only paid attention.

At the same time, encouraging others to find their purpose has also become part of Tebow’s mission in life, one that he achieves using his God-given platform, which allows him to reach millions of people through every social media post.

“If you have breath, you have purpose,” Tebow shared on X in 2024, adding, “I believe every single one of us has been sent here for a reason. No matter if we feel equipped, or if we feel too young or too old. If you have breath, you have purpose, you have a mission.”

Finding our individual purpose is an extremely important part of life, because without purpose, it is difficult to stay motivated, especially when the road becomes rocky. However, when we understand what the Lord has put us on this earth to do, it becomes easier to find the strength to persevere and continue moving forward in the face of adversity.

Moses’ story exemplifies this, as he seemed to be drifting through life until he saw his fellow Jew being whipped and stepped in to protect him. However, even at that point, he did not understand that his purpose was to eventually free the Jews from Pharaoh’s rule, causing him to flee when challenged. It was only when he understood that he was to lead his people out of Egypt that he was able to stand strong in the face of adversity.

Thus, even a hero of the faith like Moses was not able to live a truly fulfilling life until he understood his purpose. This is why Tebow cares about purpose so much and puts so much energy into helping his followers understand what their mission in life is.
