Ainsley Earnhardt Talks Value of Motherhood

By Movieguide® Contributor

Fox & Friends news anchor Ainsley Earnhardt joined Kirk Cameron on TBN to discuss her book, I’m so Glad You Were Born and the values of motherhood.

Earnhardt spoke on the important values and messages that she has instilled in her daughter.

She said, “I want to teach her that she was born with a purpose and that she can make a difference.”

Earnhardt recalled a time when she interviewed Tim Tebow, and she asked him what his mom did to pour Jesus into his life. Tebow responded that she just told him every day to make a difference in someone’s life.

“As Christians that’s what we do. We walk around and we’re always thinking about the Lord and trying to live that example every day,” Ainsley said.

“So, I went home, and I said Hayden every day we’re going to make a difference in the lives of other people. When she comes home from school, I always ask her ‘Did you make a difference in the life of someone,’” she added.

Earnhardt went on to share the bond her and her daughter share. Just as Earnhardt’s new book is titled I’m so Glad You Were Born, she means that whole-heartedly for her daughter.

“I let her know as the book is titled ‘I’m so Glad You Were Born’ you [her daughter] were born into my life. You enrich my life every day and I am here to take care of you and love you and protect you and help you. We don’t keep secrets from each other, and we just have fun,” Earnhardt expressed.

Earnhardt shared on Fox & Friends the genesis of her book ‘I’m so Glad You Were Born.’

“This is kind of my message to my mom,” she said. “That I love you and I’m so glad you were born — and thank you for all the sacrifices you made.”

“My mom was a schoolteacher for decades, and she was out the door before we were even downstairs in the kitchen eating breakfast, so our dad was in charge of breakfast,” she added.

“So, yes, I’m glad she was born. She was the quiet one who got things done” and took care of so much for the family, she concluded.

Movieguide® previously reported on Earnhardt’s book:

“Parents and children both have big dreams—about their life and the wonders the future holds,” Earhardt’s website reads. “‘I’m So Glad You Were Born’ celebrates those dreams as well as the wonder of everyday experiences like all the sweet and special snuggles and cuddles, fun times and learning times too!”
