SHARK TANK star Barbara Corcoran isn’t sure she’ll survive on the show without former shark and friend Mark Cuban.
“What Mark does for me is, he does my math. I still don’t have a way with numbers so he tells me,” she said on THE JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW. “I’ll say, ‘What does that represent? What percentage?’ He does the math for me and hands me papers all through the show.”
In 2023, Cuban announced that he wouldn’t return to SHARK TANK following Season 16, telling the “All the Smoke Podcast,” “This is our 15th year, and next year, our 16th year, is gonna be my last year, so I got one more year to go.”
Corcoran, though, isn’t sure if she’ll be able to replace him.
“But I can’t imagine how I’m going to survive on that show without him, because who’s going to do my math?” she laughed. “I just have to get a new guy or something.”
Shortly after Cuban revealed he was leaving SHARK TANK, a reality TV that gives “budding entrepreneurs the chance to secure business deals that could make them millionaires,” he opened up about what he will miss the most.
“[It’s] going to be more about the crew and the staff because most of them have been here for 15 years and it’s family,” he told PEOPLE. “We all look forward to getting together twice a year for a long time and seeing each other for 12 hours a day.”
“The deals are always out there, but I’ll miss the people and I’ll miss having an impact just from the show itself because we send a message every day that the American dream is alive and well,” he added.

He left SHARK TANK to spend time with his family.
“I’m leaving just to spend more time with my kids — they’re teenagers now. When they were younger, my wife and I got to tell them where to be and when; now they ain’t listening to us. We shoot in June and September, and just getting the opportunity now when they’re getting out of school to be able to spend time directly with them, that’s important. I’m tired of missing that,” Cuban told The Wrap
Although Cuban will step away from his dealmaking role on the show, because he is invested with 85 companies, per Nasdaq, he will likely make a return visit.
“I still have to do updates with the companies that I’ve invested in,” Cuban said. “So I’ll come back and visit, do my updates and I’ll turn it over to somebody.”
While Cuban is ready to exit the show to spend more time with his family, his co-stars, especially Corcoran, aren’t sure if they’re ready for his departure.
