Christian musician Brandon Lake released his new album King of Hearts, which includes songs that feature Jelly Roll, Cece Winans, Hank Bentely and Hulvey.
“It’s not for the seemingly put together, but for those honest about their brokenness, longing to connect with their Creator,” Lake said about the inspiration behind his new album. “He is the King of the universe, nations, creation — but most of all, King of hearts.”
The album features 16 songs which will be at the center of Lake’s upcoming “King of Hearts” tour. The tour, which will span the country, runs from October 2025 through May 2026.
Shortly after the release of the album, Lake surprised fans with eight more songs included on the deluxe version of the project.
“SURPRISE! We ain’t done yet…I got 8 more tracks for you…King of Hearts (Full Deck Delux) is out now!! Which one is your favorite?” Lake wrote on Instagram revealing the whole 24 songs.
The album has already proven to be extremely popular, becoming the No. 1 album across all genres after its release.
Lake’s music is known for being extremely relatable and helping both Christians and non-Christians connect with the Lord. The raw authenticity present in his music comes from the real life experiences he has had to work through himself. For example, after finding success, Lake began to suffer from extreme anxiety because of the pressure he was under.

“I’ve heard it said that your body doesn’t know the difference between good stress and bad stress, it just knows stress,” Brandon Lake said in 2024. “I’ve started thinking in ways I’ve never thought, like being completely vulnerable. I even had a low moment. And y’all, this is like the span of a few hours, a few days. And I’m already thinking like, ‘Should I just leave this Earth?… I’m miserable…Would they just be better without me? Does anybody love me? Am I even seen?’”
“In my lifetime, I’ve never experienced more opportunity to cave under the weight of anxiety and depression,” he added. “I believe it’s important that we are real, honest, and raw about the mental battles we face—that we bring them into the light so God can remind us of who He is and who we are. I believe we need honest songs, but we also need warfare songs to come against those attacks that try and keep us from being everything God wants us to be and from living truly free. Freedom has been purchased, but we need reminders that it is our inheritance and the reality we can live in daily through Him who set us free.”
It is amazing to see how God continues to move and use today’s technology to spread the gospel. Praise the Lord for Lake’s new album and the millions of lives it will touch and change.
