Chad and Erin Paine are adding to the Bates family as they expect their fifth child.

The BRINGING UP BATES alum and her husband share Charles Steven IV, 6, and daughters Brooklyn Elise, 5, Everly Hope, 3, and Holland Grace, 22 months.

“YES!!! We ARE EXPECTING…and still pinching ourselves to see if it’s real! God is so good,” Erin announced on Instagram.

“Every day life is a miracle, but this is such a special miracle for our little family,” the couple told PEOPLE. “For the past year, Erin has experienced different health problems, which ended up leading to multiple surgeries.”

The Paines are also open about how God has provided for them throughout their journey of past pregnancies and even miscarriages due to a blood-clotting issue.

“After consulting with our doctor, we realized having another baby was not going to be in our future. It was sad, just because we both really love kids, but I knew Erin’s health was the biggest priority, and we were overwhelmingly grateful for the four little blessings God has already given us,” the couple said. “We were content knowing that God sometimes has a different plan than our own. As you can imagine, we were absolutely blown away when we found out the good news and really in shock!”

“Our hearts were filled with so much joy and some uncertainty, but we have been relieved and so encouraged to know Baby Paine is growing and doing great and Erin has been doing wonderful as well,” they added. “God has been so faithful and so good to our family. We want to thank each of you for your continued love and support, and we are looking forward to January 2022 now more than ever.”

Erin revealed that she underwent three surgeries to help alleviate the effects of internal bleeding after several cysts ruptured.

“It has been scary and really discouraging at times, but we have been so grateful for the medical doctors who have helped us navigate through these uncertainties,” she wrote post-surgery.

Several other Bates have recently welcomed children, including Josie and Kelton Balk who recently updated fans with a praise for God’s provision.

Movieguide® previously reported:

BRINGING UP BATES’ Josie and Kelton Balka celebrated answered prayers as they brought their daughter Hazel home from the hospital after her fight with jaundice and high levels of bilirubin.

Last week, Josie and Kelton welcomed baby Hazel into the world after they suffered a previous miscarriage.

“After so many months of dreaming about what it would be like as a family of four and anticipating Hazel’s arrival, we are so thrilled to finally meet her!” Josie said on Instagram.

However, what was a joyous occasion turned serious quickly.

Two days after her initial post, Josie gave an update via her Instagram about Hazel’s condition.

“Routine bloodwork in the first trimester revealed that Hazel’s pregnancy was complicated by an exceedingly rare blood condition, unlike anything the doctors had seen before. Basically, for reasons unknown and possibly as a result of our previous miscarriage, Josie’s blood and Hazel’s were fighting against each other,” Josie said on Instagram.

Through it all, the couple continues to lean on their faith that helped them to maintain hope in the tough situation.

Hazel is now home with her parents and older sister Willow.

“Baby Hazel is going home!! 🙌🥳😍 We are praising Jesus for so many answered prayers, and we’re so thankful to be taking a healthy baby home today!”
