Brittany Lutz, a social media influencer and wife of TWILIGHT actor Kellan Lutz, wants you to enjoy the season God’s placed you in right now.

“There’s a version of yourself somewhere that’s absolutely begging you to enjoy where you are right now,” Lutz posted, sharing a quote by Caroline Leaf.

A video of her watching her young children run around accompanied the quote.

“This quote hit me like a ton of bricks,” Lutz wrote in the caption. “As much as I love this season of life and do try to enjoy it, I won’t lie, the stresses of life, uncertainties about the future and big questions sometimes take me out of the moment and transport me somewhere else entirely.”

She continued, “My kids will call for me 3-4 times before it registers, and I don’t always feel present or grounded in the here and now.”

“When I saw this quote, I had a flash of me in the future. Old. Grey. Quiet house. And it felt like being here today with the noise and the messes and even the uncertainties was almost a second chance at living, even though it’s the first time I’m experiencing it,” she reflected. “All seasons have hard moments, but there is always something to be grateful for and someone to show up for, whether it’s someone else or tending to yourself, and when we do that, it’s impossible not to enjoy this moment, right here.”

Lutz’s reflection echoes Jesus’ advice in Matthew 6:25-34 to live in the present and trust Him with your future.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Similarly, Hebrews 13:5 says, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”

While it’s easy to worry about what’s ahead, take Lutz’s reminder to heart. These days will go so fast, so enjoy them as much as you can and trust God with the rest.
