Candace Cameron Bure ‘Privileged and Blessed’ to Make Faith-Based Movies

By Movieguide® Contributor

As someone who makes their relationship with God number one, Candace Cameron Bure feels “blessed” that she can make faith-based movies for Great American Family.

“This movie is very faith-forward,” she said about her new movie, JUST IN TIME, in a GAF Instagram clip. “It’s always been the most important thing personally to me, my faith in Jesus, and now I’m at the point in my life where I want to share that with everyone. And I do in my personal life, but I want to share that through my filmmaking as well.”

“It’s a beautiful story,” she continued, “so I feel very privileged and blessed that I get to make this type of movie for Great American Family and that honors family and faith and country on our channel.”

Not only does the FULL HOUSE star feel “privileged and blessed,” but she also views her chance to work behind the scenes as a dream that’s come to fruition.

Movieguide® recently reported:

“Candace Cameron Bure says working on her upcoming movie JUST IN TIME was “a dream come true.”

“I have to pinch myself daily when I realize that I’m living my dream of making family and faith centered movies,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “Being the executive producer for this wonderful film JUST IN TIME was such a blessing.”

Bure won the Grace Prize® for Most Inspiring TV Performance at the 30th Movieguide® Awards Gala, and several movies she performed in over the years were nominated for Teddy Bear Awards®. Bure’s recent holiday movie, A CHRISTMAS…PRESENT won a Teddy Bear Award®.

Last month, Variety reported that Bure will head GAF’s first detective franchise as criminologist Ainsley McGregor. The movies are set to have a cozy, small-town mystery feel. Along with taking the lead role, Bure will also executive produce.

“This isn’t the first time Cameron Bure has appeared in a mystery series,” US Weekly said. “During her 13 years at Hallmark, the actress helmed Hallmark’s Movies & Mysteries’ AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES franchise, appearing as librarian-turned-amateur-sleuth Aurora Teagarden in 18 films before her departure.”

“There’s nothing more exciting for me than being back in the cozy mystery genre,” Bure told Deadline. “Mysteries are so fun to watch and to try to solve. I hope our faithful fans and audiences fall in love with the townspeople of Sweet River, Texas and Ainsley McGregor’s keen eye for solving mysteries.”
