Candace Cameron Bure Declares These Biblical Truths Amid Election Season
By Movieguide® Contributor
During this time of uncertainty in our country and world, Great American Family actress Candace Cameron Bure boldly proclaims what she knows to be true: “Jesus is Lord.”
“Let me tell you ‘bout my Jesus — ROMANS 10:9 ‘If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ REVELATION 22:13 ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.’ #jesusislord,” Bure instagram.com/p/DBeJPwyPld5/">posted on instagram along with a photo of an American flag overlaid with the words “Jesus is Lord.”
Fans expressed their approval and hope for a nation that will follow Jesus in light of the upcoming presidential election.
“We’re at the right rally!! Jesus is our savior 🙏🏼” one person said.
Another user added, “Jesus 2024!”
It’s encouraging to see an actress focusing on Jesus this election season when so many are focused on politics and division.
Bure takes her role as a Christian working in Hollywood seriously, proclaiming hope in an industry that often strays far from God’s truth.
“My faith is the cornerstone of who I am. It’s where my worldview comes from. I value the Bible so very much as the blueprint or the guide for my life, and it’s not something that I can leave at the doorstep,” Bure told Parade in a recent interview. “So that has been an incredible guiding light in my life, but it’s also seeped into every aspect of my life. I’m really proud of it.”
Her commitment to God led her fellow GAF star Danica McKellar to faith in Jesus.
“It humbles me that God would use me,” Bure said previously. “I give Him such great thanks for allowing me to use my voice and not be fearful of it—to not sit scared to tell my friends about Jesus.”
Bure and her brother Kirk Cameron both strive to be a light for Jesus in Hollywood, which they spoke about in a previous discussion.
While the siblings share success in Hollywood, they also share their outspoken Christian faith.
“What are the chances that two kids in the same family would not only be on TV, but come to faith in the Lord and then see the value of using platforms…like this to be able to encourage people?” Kirk asked his sister. “The Bible says encourage each other and build each other up, and I just want to take a minute and say you’ve been a huge encouragement to a million people, but also to me.”
Both Kirk and Candace are bold about their faith in an industry that is often hostile towards opposing viewpoints.
