Candace Cameron Bure Reminds Us To ‘Represent Christ Well’

Candace Cameron Bure is reminding us to “represent Christ well” when discussing topics with people who might not agree with your viewpoint.

“I know that the Holy Spirit gives us the fruit of the Spirit when we’re in Christ: joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,” she said during an episode of TAKEAWAYS WITH KIRK CAMERON. “And so, I feel as — because God gives each and every one of us self-control, that’s something we need to have when we’re in those hot topics and divisive conversations.”

Bure continued, “A lot of times, I know our emotions can want to jump out first, but it’s so important to represent Christ well, and I think that means taking a pause, taking a breath, take a beat, consider the other perspective, where they’re coming from. Take a second to pray and then speak your voice, speak your opinion.”

The actress counseled “calmness in the very beginning” of these kinds of conversations “because I don’t think that anyone’s ever going to change their opinion when you yell at them or bark at them and tell them how awful they are for how they’re thinking.”

Bure is known for her good advice, which she typically dispenses on THE CANDACE CAMERON BURE PODCAST. The show recently celebrated a major milestone.

“Last week we released our 100th episode,” the podcast’s official Instagram announced. “7 seasons with incredible guests. Over 8,000,000 listens! 120,000 YouTube Subscribers. 2.4 Million YouTube views. Thousands of listener questions. THANK YOU for tuning into every single conversation!”

The FULLER HOUSE actress is also already looking ahead to some changes in her personal life. Bure’s son Lev got married earlier this year, and she told People she “can’t wait to be a grandma.”

“I don’t know when that’s gonna happen — no pressure from me,” Bure clarified, adding, “Babies are the best, so I just want cuddles and kisses, and to munch on little chubby legs and hands and feet.”

Movieguide® previously reported on one of Bure’s recent movie projects:

Candace Cameron Bure is returning to a familiar stomping ground with her new mystery series AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES, a franchise she is extremely excited to kick off.

“I love the mystery genre and played a character for many, many movies over 10 years. So going back into the mystery genre, I really wanted to find a character that felt different, one that I could resonate with, and also that the dynamics of the other relationships were really interesting to me,” Bure told TV Line.

“I love that Ainsley McGregor is a criminologist, so she, by trade, is trying to solve mysteries. She teaches classes at a college, and then she’s also this woman who is an entrepreneur. She opened her own business called Bless Your Arts, which I just loved. It’s an artisan store. It’s kind of like Etsy in real life, so all people from the community sell their homemade crafts and all different kinds of things,” Bure continued. “I love that about her and felt that was really different.”

The AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES franchise kicked off earlier this week with A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER. This movie introduced the main character of the franchise, Ainsely, who returns to her small hometown in Texas after spending years in Chicago as a successful criminologist.
