Great American Family just announced an exciting new genre of content for their network, “The Golden Thread.”

“We’re excited to announce a new genre of faith-driven storytelling, The Golden Thread — Elevated Stories Woven with Everyday Faith,” a Facebook post from GAF revealed

The post continued, “These stories highlight how faith is present not only in life’s most difficult moments, but also in the small decisions, relationships, and acts of service that shape who we become.”

In a press release from GAF, the network explained that the name Golden Thread “reflects the belief that faith is often experienced in ordinary moments, guiding purpose and strengthening community along the way.”

“At Great American Media, we believe faith is not something that appears only in moments of crisis,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, said. “The Golden Thread reflects the reality that faith is part of the entire journey of life. It’s present in the joyful moments, the difficult seasons and the everyday experiences in between. These stories will entertain while demonstrating that faith is the very fabric of our lives, and is woven throughout life’s journey, guiding decisions, relationships and purpose along the way.”

The press release continued, “Just as Christmas movies grew into a beloved genre of television storytelling, The Golden Thread introduces a new storytelling tradition centered on the everyday presence of faith…Through The Golden Thread, Great American Media continues its commitment to meaningful entertainment that celebrates and honors faith, family and country.”

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE will be the first movie to join The Golden Thread collection. The movie stars Shae Robins and Casey Elliott.

Robins plays Katie, a fashion designer from New York, who returns to her hometown to get some inspiration for her new collection — and take over her late grandmother’s sewing shop, Charlotte’s Threads.

“Along the way, Katie reconnects with Luke (Elliott), her first love and now a gifted furniture designer and woodworker whose designs are rooted in craftmanship, patience, and purpose,” a synopsis of the movie reads. “As their lives intertwine once more, the two discover that inspiration is not found in deadlines or demand — but in the timeless values of home, heritage, and hope.”

Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer at Great American Media, called BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE “a strong example of the kind of storytelling we prioritize at Great American Media.”

“BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE is about faith lived out through family, community, and everyday grace — reminding us that even when life feels uncertain, there is meaning being woven into every moment,” Haubrich concluded.

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE premieres March 28 at 8/7c on Great American Family.
