Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott recently shared his vision for the network’s continued production of content that “reflects, showcases and uplifts the American spirit.”

“In an age where entertainment reflects counter-culture beliefs that marginalize faith and family, Great American Media has developed several platforms in the past five years that truly reflects, showcases, and uplifts the American spirit, as reflected in our title, Great American Media,” he said at an event at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention.

Abbott explained that “the vast majority of Americans are tired” of the content they see in TV and movies, instead turning to GAF, which the CEO called “unwavering in our beliefs.”

“When you represent faith, family and country, that’s not the most popular place to be in Hollywood,” he acknowledged. “But the audience demand is undeniable. Viewers want content that strengthens families and reflects their beliefs.”

Abbott concluded, “Great American Media exists to serve the American family. We are committed to storytelling that brings families together around what matters most.”

In a 2023 conversation with Deadline, the CEO shared, “Not all of our projects incorporate faith, but a good majority or a good portion of our content is faith driven and really seeks to reinforce faith and its place in people’s lives and in family lives. And the two in many ways go together and are very much again missing from the overall landscape.”

“Faith comes in many forms and there’s not a way in which we approach faith other than to treat it with respect and dignity and to celebrate it,” he continued. “It’s not about being overtly anything other than supportive of the concept of faith and family and feeling good about it.”

The CEO also shared that GAF will continue expanding its collection of original shows and movies in 2026, pointing to upcoming Easter movie BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE, as well as a new season of fan-favorite show COUNTY RESCUE.

“This film is a strong example of the kind of storytelling we prioritize at Great American Media,” Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer at Great American Media, said of BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE.

She added that the movie is “about faith lived out through family, community, and everyday grace — reminding us that even when life feels uncertain, there is meaning being woven into every moment.”

In a press release announcing COUNTY RESCUE’s Season 3 pick-up, Abbott praised the series, saying it “exemplifies the heart and mission of Great American Media — telling stories that celebrate faith and family.”

“Audiences have deeply connected with these characters and their journeys, and we are thrilled to continue sharing their inspiring stories. Season three will deliver even more heartfelt moments that honor the everyday heroes who dedicate their lives to helping others,” he concluded.

GAF viewers can’t wait to see what new and exciting content the network has in store for 2026!
