HGTV’s PROPERTY BROTHERS star Drew Scott and five-time Grammy winner Michael Bublé are joining forces in an upcoming series, HOMETOWN GIANTS.

“New show alert! As co-owners of the Vancouver Giants, @mrdrewscott and @michaelBublé are helping the next generation of young players chase their NHL dreams, and we’re bringing the cameras along for the ride!” the Scott brothers posted on Instagram.

The six-part series will highlight “where teenage players chasing a shot at the NHL face constant pressure, sacrifice, and life-changing decisions — knowing every practice, shift, and hit could make or break their future,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

Fans of Bublé are most likely aware of his love of the sport but may not know that he originally wanted to play professionally.

“My dream of becoming a pro died when I realized I wasn’t good so I switched gears and just bought a team instead,” the Canada native joked. He still makes his way onto the rink, though.

In addition to his upcoming series, Bublé is making a new country album!

“I love country music, and I have loved country music my whole life,” the former judge of THE VOICE said.

Dann Huff, who has produced albums for country superstars Faith Hill, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts, is producing Bublé’s new album and said it will be a “love letter to country music.”

“It’s old-school, it’s not like, modern, it’s my interpretation. I have never had an experience that has been better musically. I am so excited to put out this record,” Bublé continued.

A release date has not been announced yet.

Scott, also a man of many talents, though he’s more known in the world of home reno TV, made a recent guest appearance on Season 19 of MURDOCH MYSTERIES.

The 48-year-old, who studied acting in his earlier years and has a background musical theater, couldn’t turn down the offer to play Cecil Winchester of the series.

“I said yes before they finished the sentence! This role pushed me in ways I didn’t expect and reminded me why I fell in love with acting in the first place” he said

We’ll have to wait and see what unexpected projects are in store next for Bublé and Scott, but until then, HOMETOWN GIANTS will be available on Prime Video in the fall.
