By Movieguide® Staff
Candace Cameron Bure, who is looking forward to her 25-year anniversary with her husband Valeri Bure, is candid about her marriage and often shares what she has learned.
Most recently, Bure shared that the pandemic tested the couple’s relationship in difficult but much-needed ways.
“Big anniversary coming up,” Bure told ET’s, Nischelle Turner. “There’s like a little pressure. I need to do something extra, and my husband is usually so good and plans the anniversary, but I’m like, ‘I gotta step up my game.’
“Some days you just gotta hang in there, ’cause you’re in it and you gotta stay in it, even if you don’t wanna be in it. Its hills and valleys along the way.” Bure added. “Especially with last year, all of us staying home so much. I fell in love with my husband all over again. We’re spending so much time, I remember all the things that I forgot about because life has been so busy.”
The couple was married on June 22, 1996.

The “Queen” of Hallmark revealed that she and her husband, Valeri Bure, could discuss tensions in their relationship during the COVID-19 quarantine.
“When you’re all in a house together for [over a year], you have to start talking about the things you kind of avoid because of work and travel and all that stuff,” Bure, 45, told Us Weekly. “We just pushed through some of the things that were eating away at both of us.”
The FULL HOUSE alum noted the importance of family time and talking through issues as a married couple.
“There’s hurt feelings for a minute. And then there’s pouting for a minute and there’s anger for a minute. And then you kind of go, well, ‘How are we going to figure it out? And what decisions are we going to make? How do we come to a compromise in a way that you feel good?'” Bure said. “So, that’s just what we did. And that’s what marriage is really all about, but it was kind of thrown in your face during quarantine.”
Married in June 1996, Candace and Valeri share three children, Natasha, 22, Lev, 21, and Maksim, 19.
For Bure, her faith plays the central role in how she approaches her career, life, and her marriage with Valeri.
“I live by faith in everything that I do,” Bure previously told Fox News. “It is genuinely how I am.”
“The Bible, to me, is truth,” Bure affirmed. “So, I can always go back to God and find the hope, the encouragement, the positivity, the trust that I know I have in Jesus and so it never fails even when life doesn’t go the way I planned.”
