Actress Gail Edwards, who played Bob Saget’s love interest in FULL HOUSE, wishes she could tell him “he was right.”
“Poor Bob, I wish he was here,” she said on Wednesday’s episode of the “How Rude, Tanneritos!” podcast. “He always used to direct me [and] he was right, that’s what I wish I could tell him.”
Saget died in 2022 at the age of 65. He fell in his hotel and passed away due to head trauma.
Edwards played Vicky Larson, who worked with Bob’s character, Danny Tanner.

“The longer I was with him, I liked him so much so Gail would slip into Vicky. I would be liking him and he would be like, ‘No, no, no, we’re like MOONLIGHTING, play it like MOONLIGHTING,” she said, comparing their on-screen relationship to the TV series. “Of course I never told him I never saw MOONLIGHTING, but I did know what the dynamic was.”
“He really was a mensch,” Edwards added. “I would run into him at the Santa Monica Mall and he was so normal and nice.”
She also recalled Saget making a joke when it came to working with young kids, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were around 7 at the time and had a hard time landing their lines.
In 2024 on Saget’s death anniversary, his co-star Andrea Barber said, “It almost gets weirder as time goes on, because I’m like, ‘Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve heard from Bob. And then I’m like, ‘Oh.’ You know? It’s so weird to have gone two years without getting a crazy long text from him or a neurotic phone call.”
John Stamos said, “I don’t even want to get used to it. I think I still want to be hurting from it, but he doesn’t want us to be that way, right?”
Jodie Sweetin and the other cast have all mourned Saget since he died.
“2 years. Still doesn’t feel real. Thinking of Bob (and his daughters and Kelly and the rest of my FH fam) today. Although, to say I don’t think of him on most other days would be a lie,” Jodie Sweetin shared on Instagram, calling Saget “the best TV dad there ever was.”
Saget may be gone, but he left behind 192 FULL HOUSE episodes that fans and loved ones can watch when they want to remember his jovial presence.
