Country Star Cried Out to God After Miscarriages. He Answered with a Miracle.

Carrie Underwood explained how after crying out to God about her inability to have more children, He blessed her with a miracle pregnancy.
“I just had an honest conversation with God, and I told Him how I felt. I was hurt, I was a little angry and I told Him I needed something. I needed, we needed to have a baby or not ever,” Underwood said. “On Monday, I text my doctor, ‘Can I come in so we can just see and I can close the door and move on.’ And a couple hours later the nurse called me, and I felt like she was surprised, like, she wasn’t even expecting to tell me what she was about to tell me. She told me, ‘All looks good.’ And we went in later on that day and had an ultrasound. It’s like, it’s all okay, everything’s okay.”
This unexpected news came after three miscarriages in only two years. Though Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, already had one child together, they wanted to continue to grow their family. While the loss of three children in two years was heartbreaking for the singer, it ultimately brought her closer to God and caused her to truly see that He is the source of all blessings.

“You wonder if it’s you, what am I doing wrong or what have I done wrong,” Underwood told PEOPLE in 2019. “But the miscarriages made me get real with God and say ‘Okay, I’m kind of giving up a little bit. If this isn’t meant to happen, then I need to accept that and know that someday I’ll understand why.’”
Underwood’s kids — Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5 — are strong and healthy, helping out on the family ranch.
