By Movieguide® Staff
CBS recently announced its new slate of fall television shows and their premiere dates, noting that season 19 of NCIS will kick off on Sept. 20.
The network’s fall lineup also includes three franchise newcomers, NCIS: HAWAI’I, FBI: INTERNATIONAL and CSI: VEGAS.
BLUE BLOODS season 12 will premiere on Friday, October 1.
In addition to schedule changes, NCIS will also feature some casting shake-ups.
As Movieguide® previously reported:
“We haven’t shot a single frame quite yet, but with the addition of Gary Cole and Katrina Law to the cast, this is already shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet. Going into season 19, we are excited to have new characters and stories to tell that adds to and reenergizes the world we’ve come to love over the 400-plus episodes,” showrunner Steven D. Binder said in a statement.
According to TVline, Harmon will only appear in “a few” episodes for the upcoming season.
The latest NCIS iteration, NCIS: HAWAI’I, will also premiere on Sept. 20, immediate following the original series. NCIS: HAWAI’I stars Vanessa Lachay and THE CHOSEN’s Yasmine Al-Bustami.
According to Deadline, NCIS: HAWAI’I follows Jane Tennant (Lachey), the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, and her team as they balance duty to family and country, investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the island state itself.
Both BLUE BLOODS and NCIS have been nominated for Movieguide® awards for their episodes that include biblical and patriotic content.
