Cooper Kupp Gears Up For Football Season: ‘You Got To Keep Your Foot Down, You Got To Keep Pushing’

The Los Angeles Rams might be the reigning champs, winning this year’s Super Bowl, but Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp says the team isn’t resting on their laurels.

“You just don’t have enough time to take your foot off the gas. You got to keep your foot down, you got to keep pushing,” the football star told People.

Kupp is currently enjoying the football offseason before the first game of the season with the Buffalo Bills.

“That’ll be a great game,” he shared. “I mean, there’s so many good football players on [the Bills]. I heard of the defensive end recently that’s decent. Offensively, they obviously have a ton of guys over there, very talented football players.”

“It’s going to be a great challenge for us,” Kupp continued. “I’m looking forward to that, but there’s a lot to do still. A lot of work to be done before we get to that point.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Kupp’s football career:

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp gave glory to God during his speech after his LA Rams took the Super Bowl championship, scoring a touchdown in the last quarter to claim victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I do not feel deserving,” Kupp said in a post-game interview. “God is just so good.”

Kupp caught the game-winning touchdown, beating the Bengals 23-20, and was named Super Bowl MVP.

Kupp has been open about his faith throughout this season.

“I think the thing that He has taught me is that you will find that you are most fulfilled, you will find the most joy, when you are rooted in your purpose, and specifically rooted in His purpose for you. That, to me, has been one of the best things about this year,” Kupp told Sports Spectrum.

“My motivation coming in every single day is to run the race in such a way as to honor God and the passions and the talents that He’s given me,” Kupp said. “When I’m rooted in that, I am in a great place. I am able to play freely.”
