Influencer Lindsey Gurk let Jesus take the wheel in her latest funny video — and got a little “choked up” during a conversation with Jesus.
“You take it. You take the wheel,” she said in the video, sitting in the passenger seat of a car. “I mean it this time!”
Gurk then starts riding along with Jesus, coming up with humorous questions she might ask Him, as well as comments that illustrate our connections to Jesus.
“Actually, it’s a little uncomfortable, but You’re with me, so it’s okay,” she said when the road started getting bumpy. “You know the way. You are the way!”
In another scene, “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper comes on the radio, and Gurk points to Jesus and says, “This could be about You!”
In the caption of the video, Gurk wrote, “Welcome to what my journey looks like sometimes. Backstory: I usually create a loose script on what I’m going to do (to keep me on track because, ya know…it’s like a mixed thought salad up there ) but today I just said a prayer and winged it. And it was SO enjoyable.”

She also referred to a moment in the video where she exits the car and comes back with tears in her eyes, explaining, “I didn’t expect to get choked up in the middle (I actually paused to REALLY talk with Jesus) and I didn’t expect to laugh so much either. But that’s God for ya. Always delivering.”
Gurk frequently shares her faith in her social media videos. During a recent appearance on the “Whoa That’s Good” podcast, she said, “I just want people to know that love, because His love changes everything. It’s not about what you do…He guides you in what you’re supposed to do.”
“He’s big picture, and He’s in the details, and His love is so overwhelming, and you know that everybody has the ability to receive it, and it’s just about receiving it,” she continued. “And at the same time, you’re like, ‘He gives this to everybody, but He makes me feel like I’m the most important person in the world, even though I’m just a speck.’”
She is also open with her followers about her struggles. In one recent Instagram video, she told viewers that she and her husband have been “struggling” to have another baby for the last two years.
“It’s easy to share when God makes it all make sense,” Gurk wrote in the post’s caption. “Just because it hurts sometimes, that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped trusting. It doesn’t mean we’ve given up faith. It just means we’re human and we’re learning.”
Gurk’s latest video is a funny and needed reminder that, even though we might think we know better, it’s always best to let Jesus take the wheel in our lives.
