Influencer Lindsey Gurk wants people to know God’s love “because His love changes everything.”
“So when I read my Bible now, you know, you’re like, ‘Does everybody know? I’ve spent over 30 years not knowing this!’” she said during an episode of Sadie Robertson Huff’s “Whoa That’s Good” podcast. “You know the stories, but it’s different. And then you can dissect the words and what they mean, and He’s just in everything.”
Gurk added, “He’s big picture, and He’s in the details, and His love is so overwhelming, and you know that everybody has the ability to receive it, and it’s just about receiving it. And at the same time, you’re like, ‘He gives this to everybody, but He makes me feel like I’m the most important person in the world, even though I’m just a speck.’”
“So I just want people to know that love, because His love changes everything,” she concluded. “It’s not about what you do…He guides you in what you’re supposed to do.”
Gurk frequently shares her faith online and has been open about how she has leaned on God during her ongoing fertility journey.
“My husband and I have been struggling to have another child for the past two and a half years,” the mom of two said in a recent Instagram video.
In the video’s caption, Gurk wrote, “It’s easy to share when God makes it all make sense…today I wanted to give a glimpse into what this walk sometimes feels like in the middle… not just the end.”

“Just because it hurts sometimes, that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped trusting,” she continued. “It doesn’t mean we’ve given up faith. It just means we’re human and we’re learning.”
Gurk has also spoken about how God healed her from Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a condition that can cause depression, anxiety and hopelessness. The influencer shared that she would even rearrange her life around PMDD because she “didn’t want to bring anyone down.”
“All this to show you just how horrible it was (only my husband truly witnessed it) so that you can hopefully better understand what a miracle God has gracefully gifted me,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “On that day, crying on my bathroom floor, naked and in the fetal position with a towel as my blanket… I fully accepted this depressive state for as long as He felt it should last. ‘Maybe, in some way that I don’t understand, this will all be worked for good. If not for my own good, then someone else’s.’”
She continued, “And then it was gone. All of it.”
Gurk’s story, as well as her encouragement to seek God’s love, are a reminder that He is always at work in our lives.
