Forrest Frank just dropped a new song that will be the anthem of your Christmas season.
Alongside secular artist JVKE, the Grammy-nominated singer released single “Christmas Morning” late last month. Frank sings:
It feel like this is a gift, I cannot take credit
Do it for love, not debit or credit
Brought back to life, now I am indebted
Don’t care what you say, I care how you said it
Put down that phone, get off of Reddit
Can’t judge a book if you’ve never read it
I let Him cook, ain’t talking ’bout cookies and milk
Leavin’ no crumbs and nothing was spilt
Thankful that I get to wake up today
I get some love and then give it awayRelated: Forrest Frank Loses 30,000 Followers But …
Feel like a kid, see the look on my face
Snowin’ outside, but I’m covered in grace
Snowin’ outside, but You never gon’ flake (Huh)
‘Cause You gave me Your presence
That’s why every single dayIt feel like Christmas morning
The Christian Beat reported that the song “marks Frank’s second holiday original since his major label signing with 10K/Warner. It demonstrates a steady hip-hop beat with Frank rapping over the backdrop of bells and orchestral strings, while JVKE joins in later in the song.”
In a post to Instagram, Frank shared a teaser of the new holiday song and received a positive response from his fans.
“listening on repeat, oh I can’t wait!!!” one person said. Another person added, “WELL MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US, we’ll be jamming to this all winter long!!! 🎄”
This isn’t the first time Frank and JVKE collaborated. In 2024, both artists teamed up for the song “Never Get Used to This.”
Frank released a special Christmas single last year titled “The Present.” One article explains, “With a fresh, festive energy, ‘THE PRESENT’ reminds us that the season’s true gifts lie in connection and generosity.”
It’s not surprising Frank’s fans wanted more Christmas music from the viral Christian star. He’s seen massive success in recent years.
Last year he won GMA’s “New Artist of the Year” award and has had “34 songs on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, including six in the top 10.” But despite his success, Frank recently said that he won’t receive any more awards.
“I’m convicted, personally, that a line that I can draw is that I will not receive a trophy or something that is from Jesus, and for Jesus,” he told his followers on Instagram in October.
He explained, “I feel a conviction to go even a step further and say, I don’t know if I even want to step on the stage. I don’t know if I want to step in the room. And so I have decided to take a stance of non-participation. I will not be attending the Doves. I hope to be an example to the youth that the trophy is our salvation. The trophy is that my name is listed in the book of life, and I get to have eternal life. What good is a piece of metal going to do compared to that?”
1 Peter 5:6-7 reminds us of the importance of staying humble: “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
As Frank takes a stance of humility, let this remind us what the Christmas season is all about.
