FULL HOUSE star and Teddy Bear Award® winner Candace Cameron Bure admits she has a tendency to feel prideful.
“One of the biggest sin issues in my life is my pride. I try to live a life of integrity and character and honesty and so sometimes that gets puffed up when people don’t see that in me,” Bure explained to BACHELOR alum Madi Prewett Troutt in a Instagram clip from her podcast. “Or they accuse me of something or they just believe something else about me.”
When this happens, her pride comes into play.
“So I’m always praying for humility, always. In all situations,” she expressed.
“Pride is such a sneaky thing. Easy to justify, hard to surrender, but always worth laying down. 🤍” she captioned the clip.

Bure explores various spiritual topics with Troutt in this season of her podcast.
“I loved sitting down with Madison to talk about living boldly for Christ and how staying true to your convictions can help you navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and joy,” Bure said.
On the podcast, Troutt opened up about her experience as a Christian on THE BACHELOR.
“I had never really seen the show before. I didn’t really know what I was saying yes to, but I really felt like it was what the Lord was leading me to do, even though it truly made no sense,” Troutt said. “And it’s so funny because since then I’ve had multiple people come up to me and be like, ‘I want to apply to go on THE BACHELOR.’ And I’m like, ‘Absolutely not.’ Like, I would not let anybody that I love go on this show.”
She explained that she even judged her friends who chose to watch the show.
Troutt eventually broke up with the bachelor on the show because they didn’t share the same belief about saving sex for marriage.
“For sure, your emotions get very involved and it’s very confusing. But I would say for me personally,” said Troutt, “just because I had made the decision to save myself for marriage and because I had been so prayerful about who my future spouse was going to be, I was not willing to settle for anything less than God’s best.”
Bure commended her for keeping to her values.
“You have to make decisions outside of the heat and the temptation of a moment in advance of, who do I want to be?” Troutt said. “What are my values? What are my convictions? What does God’s Word say? Because then when you’re thrown into pressure cooker moments, it’s going to test you.”
After the show, she met her husband, Grant Troutt. They now have a baby, Hosanna, and enjoy life as vocal evangelists for Christ.
