Production is underway on a brand new Christmas movie from Great American Family!
“In CHRISTMAS IN MIDNIGHT CLEAR, Hillary Shaw (Alicia Josipovic), successful corporate real estate developer, arrives in the economically struggling town with decisive plans to acquire every possible property, declare the rest eminent domain, and to modernize the town from the inside out,” an official synopsis of the movie shared.
It continued, “But when Hillary encounters Daniel Porter (Jon McLaren), local pastor and multi-generational pillar of the community, her vision faces more than legal challenges. As Hillary and Daniel’s worldviews spark conflict, something deeper begins to blossom.”
CHRISTMAS IN MIDNIGHT CLEAR will be part of the fifth annual Great American Christmas event.
This isn’t the only exciting new movie in GAF’s holiday lineup. “Queen of Christmas” Candace Cameron Bure has two movies on the way: TIMELESS TIDINGS OF CHRISTMAS and HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS WEDDING (working title).
HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS WEDDING is a sequel to last year’s popular HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS, which Bure starred in alongside Cameron Mathison. The pair were originally set to work together on a different movie that year, but there was a last minute change of plans.

“We did have a script, JINGLE BELLS, WEDDING BELLS, that we thought would be good for the two of us,” the FULL HOUSE actress told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “As we went into some of the production elements, I realized very quickly that it probably wasn’t going to be the best movie that we could do. I pulled the plug on it pretty quickly.”
She continued, “When we reread HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS, I was like, ‘Actually, this is a much better movie for the two of us together,’ because we play these childhood friends that get reunited. That feels very much like Cameron and me, as we’ve been friends for a really long time but never worked together.”
In HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS WEDDING, Bure and Mathison’s characters are excited to help out on a movie inspired by their very own love story. However, as complications arise and their wedding plans get stressful, the couple must rediscover their spark and reconnect in time for Christmas.
“It is such a joy to reunite with my good friend and co-star, Cameron Mathison, to share the next chapter of Sam and Sophia’s epic love story,” Bure said in a statement about the movie. “Our fans loved witnessing their love blossom in HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS. This time we’re excited to bring our fans ‘into the movie’ and to the biggest moment in Sam and Sophie’s lives.”
From the new love story of CHRISTMAS IN MIDNIGHT CLEAR to revisiting a fan-favorite couple in HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS WEDDING, GAF has plenty of fun new holiday movies on the way!
