Girl Celebrates Birthday with THE CHOSEN: ‘Loves Jesus…and Icing’

A little girl decided to celebrate her fourth birthday with a THE CHOSEN-themed party.

“Today is my Kylie’s birthday. She’s four, and she loves Jesus, and she wanted her birthday to be Jesus – [THE] CHOSEN,” Kylie’s mom explained in the video reposted to THE CHOSEN’s official Instagram page.

“Loves Jesus…and icing,” THE CHOSEN’s Instagram added, getting in on the fun.

The video pans the birthday bash to show off THE CHOSEN-themed decorations, including a poster of the cast on the wall, a CHOSEN birthday cake and other CHOSEN party decorations like plates and napkins.

Kylie also showed off her Jesus outfit with a first-century robe and a red sash to tie everything together.

The cute birthday celebration comes just two months before the release of Season 4 of THE CHOSEN. The highly anticipated continuation will premiere in theaters with Episodes 1, 2 and 3 releasing on Feb. 1, followed by Episodes 4 through 6 on Feb. 15. The finale, Episodes 7 and 8, will arrive in theaters on Feb. 29.

This season will see a shift in the show’s tone as the series crosses the halfway mark and Jesus prepares for the end of his earthly ministry.

“There’s lots of joy, there’s lots of laughter, there’s lots of miracles that we get to experience, which is one of the reasons why we want people to see this on the big screen and see this together,” director and creator Dallas Jenkins told Fox News. “Jesus is [also] getting increasingly sad because of the fact that things are getting increasingly heavy.”

“Not just because we know that He’s going to suffer, but He’s sad because the followers around Him and the city that is the holy city – the city that is the birthplace of our faith – doesn’t get it,” he continued.

Following its theatrical release, Season 4 will be available to stream on various platforms.

In a recent interview with Movieguide®, THE CHOSEN director Dallas Jenkins and actors Brandon Potter, Nick Shakoour, Shaan Sharma and Kirk B. R. Woller shared what to expect in Season 4 and how a “fish and loaves” attitude comes to fruition.

Brandon Potter, who plays Quintus, opened up about how THE CHOSEN transformed his life.

“The show has sort of impacted nearly every aspect of my life, he told Movieguide®. “I mean, you know, it’s nice to have a job, but that’s like the least sort of seismic change in my life…And I also feel like I’ve really gotten to satisfy or at least explore my sort of driving force as an artist, which is to really bring people together. And the show has done that in amazing ways. You know, we’re on nearly every streaming platform and dozens of countries and dozens of languages. And all of these people don’t have the same viewpoints, but they’re all coming together around this show. And that is, I feel extraordinarily grateful and honored to be a part of that.”
