We finally know when THE CHOSEN Season 6 will premiere. Here are all the details.
“Prime Video and 5&2 Studios announced Season Six of the global phenomenon THE CHOSEN will premiere on November 15, 2026, in the U.S. and internationally, alongside the debut of a teaser image,” a press release announced.
It continued, “The season finale will be a stand-alone theatrical release in spring 2027. In addition to the U.S., the new season will be available on Prime Video in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK and Latin America.”
This season will detail the crucifixion, the most important and emotional part of Jesus’ story.

“Everyone knows the basics of this part of the story, but not everyone knows the ‘why’ of the crucifixion and the extraordinary events of these 24 hours,” THE CHOSEN creator Dallas Jenkins said. “We realized this not only deserved a season of television but a standalone full-length theatrical event as well. We wrote and filmed all of it with this in mind.”
THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER – PART 2 took home Movieguide®’s Epiphany Prize® for Inspiring Movies at this year’s Movieguide® Awards Gala. Part of the +4 review reads:
THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER – PART TWO is compelling and well-made. The actors do an excellent job bringing Jesus and the disciples to life. As Jesus, Jonathan Roumie delivers a masterful emotional turn portraying the Savior grappling with His fate. The movie has a strong Christian, biblical worldview. It features Jesus preaching to crowds and his disciples. THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER – PART TWO takes some creative liberties to deepen the characters and add to the drama, but it stays close to Scripture. LAST SUPPER has no objectionable content, but it does have mild violence. Otherwise, it’s acceptable for nearly all viewers.
Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in the series, reflected on the good news of Easter on Sunday.
“Three days in the netherworld. Wouldn’t recommend. 🤨👎🏽 Productive trip tho. ✅👍🏽 Did some overdue house-cleaning. 🧹💪🏽 Brought more than a few souls back— they seemed VERY happy. 😊🙌🏽🕊️ The dawn hits different today. 🌞😎🙏🏽✝️” he quipped on Instagram, writing as Jesus.
He concluded, “😉 HE IS RISEN! Indeed He is Risen! Wishing you all a joyful, blessed amd Spirit-led Easter! ✝️💓🌟✨Don’t forget to go to church! He’s waiting for you! Praise Him with your body, mind and soul! Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice!”
THE CHOSEN Season 5 is currently available to watch on Prime Video.
