The second season of HOUSE OF DAVID is on its way to streaming on Prime Video! The hit Bible-based series has proven a success, and now audiences with Prime can experience it firsthand.
“Prime Video announced the Season Two premiere of HOUSE OF DAVID, the epic biblical drama from Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios, will debut on March 27, 2026 globally on the service, with all episodes available to stream at launch,” a recent press release announced. “Now viewers can binge-watch the series that captivated over 40 million viewers worldwide at no additional cost with a Prime membership.”
The second season comes from Wonder Project’s Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, who also serve as executive producers alongside Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes, Michael Frislev, Trey Callaway and Mark McNair. Rosenblatt additionally oversaw the production on behalf of Wonder Project. Dallas Jenkins of THE CHOSEN is a shareholder in Wonder Project and acts as a special advisor.
HOUSE OF DAVID stars Michael Iskander who plays David, as well as Ali Suliman who plays King Saul and Ayelet Zurer who plays Queen Ahinoam.

Iskander recently won a Movieguide® Award for his portrayal of the Old Testament hero.
“I think it’s extremely vital [to tell faith-based stories] and we’ve been doing it for a long time, but now we’re just able to tell it at such a grand scale,” Iskander told Movieguide®. “Storytelling is one of these things that as humans, this is how we communicate. You know, this is the fiber of our being. I’m just so lucky that HOUSE OF DAVID is reaching the people in the way that it is amazing.”
The actor continued, “I’ve been thinking a lot about why David is being highlighted so much in today’s culture. David is a guide for us, and he shows us that no matter how far away we may stray from Christ, He is going around and looking for us, and He’s calling us by name.
“And all we have to do is just say yes. All we have to do is just listen to His voice and say, ‘Yes Lord. I will follow you,’” Iskander said while accepting the Grace Prize. “So, I want you to know, God doesn’t see how weak or small you may look or how grand or how strong you may look. He sees into your heart.”
Season 2 picks up where the first season left off, following “the aftermath of the battle between David and Goliath and David’s rise to the throne. As he navigates palace politics, his family’s jealousy, and a growing romance, David steps deeper into his destiny and learns what it means to become a great leader.”
Movieguide®’s review of a Season 2 episode of HOUSE OF DAVID reads, “Episode 208 of HOUSE OF DAVID packs a powerful emotional punch, with exquisite cinematography, sets, costume design, directing, acting, and music. It’s the longest episode with several endings, but it holds viewers’ attention.”
The review notes that the episode “has a strong biblical, moral worldview, with strong Christological allusions,” “extols God, faith, prayer, marriage, family, kindness, repentance, and forgiveness,” but “has some violence, with a little blood.”
Director Jon Erwin says he hopes the series directs people back to the Word of God.
“The goal of what we do is to get people to say, ‘Is that in the Bible?’…and to draw people back to the book,” Erwin explained. “It’s like these shows, hopefully in their purest form of gigantic billboards say, ‘Go to the sword.’ I love that.”
With its debut on Prime Video, even more fans will get to witness King David’s incredible story.
