As Bruce Willis continues his battle with dementia, his daughter Scout shared how his family is going to celebrate the star as he turns 70 years old.

“You know, as always, we celebrate,” Scout told Fox News Digital while at the Cure Addiction Now’s inaugural fundraising event. “We are a huge unit. We are very supportive of one another, and it’s sort of like ironclad…we are so loving with one another…I think that is the foundation of everything that we do.”

Willis was diagnosed with dementia in 2022 when he permanently stepped away from acting. In the three years since, his family has rallied around him and given him all the support they can as he faces this disease. Though Scout’s mother Demi Moore and Willis got divorced in 2000, Moore remains supportive of her ex-husband.

“We will always be a family, just in a different form,” Moore previously told Variety. “For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love… I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things. There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love.”

Willis’ current wife, Emma Heming Willis, has been his rock since his diagnosis, serving as his primary caregiver while also promoting research to find a cure for Frontotemporal Dementia.

“There is grief and sadness. There’s all of that. But you start a new chapter. It’s filled with love, it’s filled with connection, it’s filled with joy, it’s filled with happiness,” Emma said last March. “My experience is that two things can be true and exist at the same time. Grief and deep love. Sadness and deep connection. Trauma and resilience.”

“I had to get out of my own way to get here but once I arrived, life really started to come together with meaning and I had a true sense of purpose,” she continued. “There is so much beauty and soulfulness in this story.”
