This Christian Artist’s Latest Hit Encourages Fans — It Could Bless You, Too

Danny Gokey encouraged his fans to share his song “I Got You” to remind anyone listening that God is bigger than any problem they could ever face.
“Crank it up and share ‘I Got You’ with someone who needs to be reminded that they can make it through when they’ve got God! ??????” Gokey wrote in an Instagram post.
“I Got You” comes from Gokey’s newest album Sound of Heaven which he released at the end of July. He created the album hoping to include something that every person could relate to throughout the 12-song journey. Gokey believes that this will inspire people to be bold in their faith and share it with their community.
“We need Jesus people to let [their faith] be known. We need Jesus people to start walking in the freedom that’s been paid for and walking in the knowledge of the truth because there’s a broken world,” Gokey told The Christian Post. “Really, we should be doing more with our hands and our feet.”
“Most people have heard about Jesus in our world,” he continued. “Our country was founded upon Christ and Christian values. The thing is, there’s a cognitive dissonance. They hear Christianity, and they’re seeing Christianity. It just looks like the world. It looks like everyone else except that you just slap a label on yourself.”
“People who not just talk about it, but live sacrificially, they’re the ones that grab people’s attention. So we need Jesus people to do that,” Gokey added.
“I Got You,” for example, encourages Christians that they can stand firm without fear or anxiety, knowing that they are rooted in God and He has them exactly where He wants them to be.
“‘Cause I got you / In the joy, in the pain, in the waiting / In the flood, in the fire, in the breaking/ I’m standing on You, so I won’t be moves / Yeah, I’ll get through, ‘cause I got You,” Gokey sings in the chorus.
This type of confidence would catch the attention of our communities because fear and anxiety creep in most during the hard, uncertain periods of life.

Christian artist Danny Gokey is opening up about his new album Sound of Heaven and what he hopes his fans take away from it.
“This project was really unique. As it turns out, it’s the reflection of all the different sides of me,” he told Fox News host Shannon Bream. “It’s, you know, very celebratory but…it starts with a prayer, like ‘Lord, what do you want to write through me?’ Because God is the greatest songwriter of all time. He’s the greatest artist of all time. We’re His children, so I’m thinking, like, I’m going right to the source.”
Gokey explained how as he wrote the album, he noticed all of the songs sounded very different from each other.
“I knew that heaven was so diverse, and heaven is reflected with different sounds, so it all just came together,” he said.
The singer continued by reflecting on how beautiful diversity is and how we need to embrace the differences around us.
