This year, 2026, Robert Duvall and James Robison passed on to Glory.

I first met Robert when he starred in TENDER MERCIES. Then, I got to do a scene with him in GODS AND GENERALS.

Robert came to the Movieguide® Awards and deserved his Grace Award for Inspiring Acting because he was one of the great actors.

We discussed the fact that both of us had grown up in the same aberrant nominalistic heretical Christian cult. God had rescued me in the 1970s and, soon after our discussions, God rescued Robert, and he spent a year with James Robison, who discipled him.

The consequence was the great movie THE APOSTLE, which I helped Robert to distribute to Christian churches by showing it to many Christian leaders, who loved it. Robert’s life took many twists and turns after his salvation, but he always assured me that he was a Cristian.

James Robison had influences on many people. His life also took a lot of twists and turns.

So, the two of them, James and Robert, have gone on to Glory, and Movieguide® remembers both with great fondness and God-given joy.
