Jay Leno Teams Up with The Property Brothers for CELEBRITY IOU
By Movieguide® Contributor
Jay Leno never wanted to back down from an opportunity to help a family in need. He proved that to be true after he joined the Property Brothers on an episode of CELEBRITY IOU.
Although, renovating a house isn’t what Leno should have done after his accidents, Leno never hesitated to jump in and help.
The Property Brothers told TODAY.com that Leno’s dedication to the project was truly shocking due to Leno’s physical injuries.
“He had just broken his collarbone when he started working with us,” Jonathan Scott said.
His Brother Drew then stated that Leno also had “broken ribs” and a “busted knee” from a motorcycle accident as well as burn injuries from a garage fire.
Leno wouldn’t let anything hold him back, Jonathan Scott stated, “He didn’t have any painkillers, didn’t want to go easy, he was right in there. We’re like, ‘Take it easy.’ But he never complained about anything.”
“He was giving back to someone who just had a baby … their house didn’t work for them and so we put in a nursery and redid the bathroom so it was functional for the family,” Drew Scott explained.
“It’s so heartwarming to see the celebrities that don’t make any excuses, they just get in there and do it,” Drew continued.
Movieguide® recently reported on Jay Leno’s health after the accidents:
Despite Jay Leno’s recent accidents, he does not plan to retire anytime soon.
“Unless,” the comedian admitted to Page Six, “I have a stroke.”
Leno stated at the premier for HOT WHEELS: ULTIMATE CHALLENGE, “That’s when you retire – when you have your stroke.”
For Leno, he doesn’t see a reason to quit if he’s still able to live his life to the fullest.
