HGTV Star Prayed This Over Her Next Book

HGTV’s Jenny Marrs is sharing the prayer she relied on while writing her next book.
“I took a little break from social media at the advice of a wise and trusted mentor,” she recently posted on Instagram. “My brain felt overloaded after an intense summer editing my manuscript. I’ve been working on this book for well over two years and the first draft was all about discerning which stories to tell. The second draft was all about making the words make sense.”
Marrs explained that she “struggled” with the writing process, going back “to the hard places” and remembering things she “had long ago blocked.”
“This book is all about God’s abounding faithfulness in my life and I have never written anything more vulnerable,” she continued. “My constant prayer during the process was simple: ‘You’ve written the stories in my life, God. Help me to tell them. Allow the words of this book to point people to you.’”
Marrs added that her book is now with her editor, promising fans that it will be “out sometime next year.”
“Anyhow, it’s done for now. I’ve done all I can. And, I took some time to rest my brain and my heart. Because, rest is holy and good,” her post concluded. “Now, it’s back to work but I feel so much lighter as I head into this new month.”
Marrs has previously posted about her upcoming book, saying it is “all about God’s abounding faithfulness in my life.”
“I have never written anything more vulnerable. I have never cried so much while writing. I have never said ‘nope. I don’t want to share that’ more times to God (don’t worry, I listened where He led even if I did so with trembling fingers hovering over the keyboard),” she wrote on Instagram. “I have never prayed so hard for the Holy Spirit to give me the stories and the words I should share and for the enemy to back down already.”
In addition to working on her next book, Marrs and her husband, Dave, are gearing up for the next season of FIXER TO FABULOUS.
“BIG NEWS!!” she posted on Instagram. “We can finally spill the beans on what we’ve been up to for the past four months… we have been busy filming SEASON SIX of Fixer to Fabulous!!!!”
Marrs continued, “We don’t take any of this for granted – the fact that we get to do what we love, alongside a team of people we adore is an absolute gift. And, the fact that you all choose to watch the journey from your living rooms with your families is just something we’ll never fully wrap our head around. We are truly, truly grateful!!!!”
The next season of FIXER TO FABULOUS is expected to premiere this fall.

“We have a lot of things going on with FIXER TO FABULOUS,” Dave began in an Instagram video. “We have some special folks here to talk about…” the camera turned around to reveal the cast and crew shouting “Season Six!”
Fans responded with enthusiasm.

“Yay!! I have missed watching you guys on Wednesday night so much! I love everything you do and can’t wait to see the new episodes!” another person added.
