“We have a lot of things going on with FIXER TO FABULOUS,” Dave began in an Instagram video. “We have some special folks here to talk about…” the camera turned around to reveal the cast and crew shouting “Season Six!”
The caption shared exciting new details about the show.
“BIG NEWS!! ? We can finally spill the beans on what we’ve been up to for the past four months… we have been busy filming SEASON SIX of Fixer to Fabulous!!!!” Jenny wrote. “We don’t take any of this for granted – the fact that we get to do what we love, alongside a team of people we adore is an absolute gift. And, the fact that you all choose to watch the journey from your living rooms with your families is just something we’ll never fully wrap our head around. We are truly, truly grateful!!!! ? THANK YOU and we will see you this fall on HGTV!!”
Fans responded with enthusiasm.
“YAYYY!!! Cheers to season 6! You two are such a creative duo! ?” one user commented.
“Yay!! I have missed watching you guys on Wednesday night so much! I love everything you do and can’t wait to see the new episodes!” another person added.
HGTV’s synopsis of the show reads: “Dave and Jenny Marrs embrace small-town America by renovating classic homes in and around their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. This resourceful and creative couple transforms historic houses in desperate need of an update and turn them into charming forever homes.”
Last season, the couple shared their prayer for the show:
Our prayer for this season continues to be that our show is a light in this dark world. The privilege of being invited into your living room each week is not one we take lightly and we sincerely hope you walk away each Tuesday inspired and encouraged to make your home a beautiful reflection of you and your family. ?
Movieguide® previously reported on how the Marrses believe God ordained them to be part of FIXER TO FABULOUS:
The Marrses shared how their HGTV show got its start eight years ago.
“Eight years ago, we welcomed two camera operators, a sound guy, a producer and a production assistant into our home and into our lives for two days,” they wrote. “They essentially followed us around as we worked and then interviewed us as we sat on our front porch swing telling them about our family and the work we do renovating historic homes in our small town of Bentonville, Arkansas.”
The post continued, “I remember watching the three-minute edited down ‘sizzle reel’ that our production company, RIVR media, would send to HGTV and thinking, ‘this is absolutely crazy. Why would anyone want to watch a television show about our life?’ I also remember being nervous that someone would want to watch a television show about our life. At the time, Charlotte was two, Sylvie was four and Ben and Nate were six. They were babies. Was it wise to open our family up to the inevitable criticism and loss of privacy that must come with a television show?”
In a moment of uncertainty, Dave and Jenny looked to God for guidance.
They prayed, “‘Lord, if this is what you want for us to do, if this will bring you glory, if we can use this opportunity to shine a light into this dark world, then let it happen. If this isn’t in your plans for us, if this is against your will, then slam the door shut.’”
