Jenny Marrs’ new devotional is live! In an announcement posted to Instagram, the HGTV star shared details.

“I just wanted to let you guys know I’m so excited. I have a five-day devotional that is now live on YouVersion,” she shared in a video while sitting on the porch at her farm watching her animals.

“So if you have the YouVersion Bible app, which I love and highly recommend, I wrote a five-day devotional based on Trust God, Love People, and we walk through some and really focus on stepping into the unknown, leaning on God’s faithfulness and trusting Him more,” Marrs explained.

She added, “I have linked to it in my profile, but you can find it on the app under plans, and it’s under Trust God, Love People, so I hope you enjoy it!”

People in the comment section shared excitement over the news.

“Wow, so cool that God is taking your mustard seed and building fields!!!!! Way to go, friend❤️” one person said.

Another person added, “I just finished your book and loved it so much!”

The devotional is based off of Marrs’ new book Trust God, Love People: Stories of My Openhanded Faith, which released last month.

“I open wide the doors to my life and my family’s home to share stories of how little steps of faith have added up to an unexpected and abundant life,” she says in its description.

Marrs explains how the book shares important journeys in her life such as her marriage to Dave Marrs and their fight to adopt their daughter, Sylvie.

The description concludes, “Through it all, I’ve learned that God is trustworthy even in the moments when I feel fearful, worn out, or dejected. Trust God, Love People is a guiding principle in my life and serves as a reminder that steadfast trust in our faithful, loving God allows us to love others well. As we learn to take our next step in faith and love the people around us, we can walk confidently into adventures beyond our wildest expectations.”

Over the last few months, the Marrs family has experienced deep grief, but God has seen them through. Most recently the family mourned the loss of Dave’s mother, Donna. Both Dave and Jenny were open about how difficult her death was for their family.

“I hope I can live out my life in the steps of my beloved Mother-in-law, Donna,” Jenny wrote on Sept. 20. “She taught me how to live and love well. She taught me how to be the kind of mother-in-law and the kind of grandmother who I can’t even begin to imagine this earth without. The world lost one of the brightest lights I’ve ever known and I hope to honor her legacy well.”

Though the recent ups and downs, Psalm 30:5 certainly rings true for the Marrs family: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

The Marrses’ trials that they have overcome is an encouragement to all of us that the hard times don’t last forever, and things will get better as we continue to “trust God” and “love people.”
