Christian Artist Looks to 2025 With Hope After ‘Hardest’ Year

Christian musician Jeremy Camp may have popular songs and accolades over his decade-spanning career, but that doesn’t make him exempt from hardship.
In a recent Instagram post, Camp celebrated his anniversary with his wife, Adrienne, and reflected on how difficult 2024 was for their family.
“Wow. Where do I even begin?” he started. “Today marks 21 years since I married my best friend, and what an incredible journey it has been. To be honest, this past year has been one of the hardest of my life. From my heart procedure earlier this year, to broken relationships, to other challenges, to Adrienne’s total hip replacement, and now my recovery from knee replacement surgery — it’s been nonstop. The mental, emotional, and spiritual strain has been overwhelming at times.”
In March, Camp underwent surgery to correct his atrial fibrillation (AFib). He explained that the condition caused his heart to beat “really, really fast,” making it hard for him to breathe and function during live performances.

In addition to his heart issues, Camp recently had a knee replacement. Church Leaders reported, “Earlier this month, Camp underwent another surgery, this time for a full knee replacement. One of his staff members posted on behalf of Camp to request prayers from friends and fans. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery after the hard work of rehab.”
But despite the struggles of this year, the Camps’ relationship with Jesus has sustained them.
“Yet, even in the midst of all these struggles, there are always reasons to be grateful — things that shine brighter than the hardships. First and foremost, the beautiful truth that Jesus is our strength and our everything. And Adrienne, you are one of those bright spots that always outweigh the negatives.”
Camp concluded his Instagram update with hope for 2025: “Through it all, we have so much to be thankful for, and I’m excited for what 2025 holds. I know the Lord has great things in store for us. Adrienne, I love you more than words can say. Here’s to the next chapter of our journey together.”
