Judge Frank Caprio Needs ‘Power of Prayer’ As He Battles Cancer

Judge Frank Caprio, star of reality show CAUGHT IN PROVIDENCE, is relying on prayer as he battles pancreatic cancer.
“Quite recently, I was not feeling well and received a medical examination, and the report was not a good one. And so I have been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, which is an insidious form of cancer,” he shared in a recent Instagram video.
Caprio assured fans he has a “wonderful team of doctors” taking care of him.
“I pray that God guides their thoughts and their hands in their treatment of me,” he said. “I know this is a long road, and I’m fully prepared to fight as hard as I can.”
Caprio continued, “I would ask each of you, in your own way, to please pray for me. I am in need of the power of prayer, which I believe, in addition to the medical treatment that I’m receiving, is the most powerful weapon to help me survive this.”
CAUGHT IN PROVIDENCE shows Caprio hearing real cases from people in Providence, Rhode Island, about everything from traffic and parking to arraignments for criminal offenses.
“All of the cases and people are real,” the show’s website reads. “Those who step in front of him have a little fun with the cameras, but Judge Caprio makes it clear that he is there to do his job.”
The judge spoke further about the power of prayer in a recent segment for CBS.
“It’s not a pleasant experience to go to bed at night, say your prayers, and suddenly you have one extra thing you have to ask for,” Caprio explained. “And that is, please help the treatment be successful for the pancreatic cancer. And I think we’re on the way.”
In a May Instagram post, Caprio celebrated his last radiation treatment.
“ON MY WAY.. After my final radiation treatment @baptisthealthsf @baptisthealthcancercare , I rang the bell and am on my way to happy days!” he wrote.
