JUMANJI 3 will head to theaters in 2026!
Sony and Columbia Pictures announced that a third installment in the popular franchise will premiere Dec. 11, 2026.
“Franchise stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black are expected to return alongside director Jake Kasdan, who helmed 2017’s JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE and 2019’s JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL,” Variety reported.
Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Kasdan, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia, who all served as producers on JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL, will also return for the third movie.
No details about the movie’s plot have been revealed yet, but Garcia teased a third sequel all the way back in 2021.
“We have a really fun pitch,” he told ComicBook.com. “We’re actually getting ready to take it to Sony to let them hear what we’ve been cooking up. We’ve got a big vision for [the next JUMANJI] movie, so we’re fired up for that. We’re taking it in soon.”
Hart has also spoken about the upcoming sequel, telling Variety in 2023, “We need something big to put our [he and Johnson’s] duo to an end, and not just leave it undone.”
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE and THE NEXT LEVEL were major box office successes; they took in over $900 million and $700 million, respectively, per The Numbers.
While the movies feature fun and interesting plotlines, they do contain excessive language, as reported by Movieguide®.
