Kat Von D is sharing more details about her faith journey.

“I’m on fire for Jesus,” she said during an episode of “Relatable With Allie Beth Stuckey.” “I don’t plan on this dimming out. The more I learn, the more excited I get about things.”

Von D was baptized earlier this year after dedicating her life to Christ and renouncing her former occult ties.

“I prayed a lot about that post prior to doing it,” she explained of the Instagram post that revealed she was denouncing the occult. “I came to this really awesome realization that night that was like, ‘I don’t want these crutches in my life anymore, you know? I just want Jesus.’”

Von D’s post read, “Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be.”

“I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves,” she continued

During her appearance on Stuckey’s podcast, Von D also spoke about the changes that have taken place in her life since she has found faith.

“I feel like I’m the best wife and the best mother I can be now because of the changes that I’ve had,” she explained. “I mean, it’s like a deprogramming has taken place. Things that I used to find attractive are disgusting to me, you know? And it’s like, I wish I could put into words like how amazing those changes are.”

Von D has been open about her faith journey, sharing photos and videos online.

“I know that everybody’s on their own journey and it’s not for everybody, but this is where I’m at,” she said in one Instagram video. “And to me, my baptism was a public demonstration of where I stand with my faith, and basically letting people know that I’m not ashamed.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Von D’s baptism:

Former tattoo artist Kat Von D shared a video of her baptism following a long journey of personal transformation after she renounced the occult and witchcraft last year.

She captioned the video with a cross.

“Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” the pastor said before submerging a white robe-clad Von D.

Von D joyfully hugged him as she emerged from the water.

Von D’s friends attended the baptism, and the video shows several tattooed, pierced people reading from hymnals and worshipping.
