Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt would leave Hollywood behind — as long as her family came with her.

“I can see myself moving anywhere that my mother, father, and my siblings would also move with my husband and I and my children,” she told Fox News. “So wherever that is, we can have a team huddle and all decide collectively where we’d like to go.”

While the author and podcast host didn’t share a specific location, she did say she would like to “go anywhere where we can just be around a lot of animals.”

“But I feel like I can get that fix sprinkled in with having my home base be around my family,” Schwarzenegger Pratt explained. “Because there’s nothing that is more important to me than being able to be in close proximity to my parents and to my siblings. And to be able to have that for our children is such a huge blessing and a gift. A gift that I can’t get anywhere else.”

In an interview with Parents, Schwarzenegger Pratt spoke about how being close to her family has helped her be a better mom.

“I feel really lucky to be able to be around them several times a week, and that really allows me to be as present as I can,” she explained

She also shared the parenting lesson her own mother, Maria Shriver, instilled in her.

“The great gift that my mom gave to us kids from the beginning was always an open line of communication that was judgment-free and criticism-free,” Schwarzenegger Pratt said. “That allowed us to be able to talk to our mom about anything and everything…That was a huge gift that, as a mother, I really hope to be able to give to my kids.”

Another parenting lesson she hopes to give her kids? The ability to overcome your fears and get back up when you fall down. It’s a theme she explores in her latest book, “Kat and Brandy.”

In an interview with Page Six, she explained, “I wrote this book about overcoming your fears, courage and bravery. The book also touches on the healing power of animals and how they can help us work through something we are afraid of and help us overcome that fear. Whether it’s a horse, a rabbit or a dog, animals have the power to heal and calm us and this book touches on that and provides prompts for parents to have conversations with kids about their fears.”

While Schwarzenegger Pratt might be daydreaming about a life outside of Hollywood, it’s clear that staying close to family is her top priority.
