Kathie Lee Gifford stays strong through faith after some tough physical challenges she went through last year.
“Three times a week in physical therapy and three times a week with Manduu,” she said of her favorite exercise format. “I’m grateful for it because it means that I still have mobility. The thing that I’m actually getting better at that I never dreamed I would is immediately praising God.”
“The Bible in James says ‘Consider it all joy, even with these trials and tribulations.’ That does not come naturally at all. We want to moan and cry out in despair. But it’s taken me a lifetime to understand that every moment is a gift,” she told Woman’s World.
The former TODAY host says prayer keeps her strong and connected to God.

“My superpower is prayer. Prayer moves mountains,” she said. “I don’t want to fly. I don’t want to read minds…I just pray! It’s free and God gives it to all of us.”
Every day she has on earth is God-given.
“I thank the Lord that I’m awake, and I usually say, ‘Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love for I put my trust in you. Show me the way that I should go,’” she said of her morning routine. “It’s an attitude of gratitude and it’s true. I’ve so much to be grateful for.”
Gifford just released her new book, Nero and Paul: How the Gospel of Grade Defeated the Ruler of Rome.
She previously explained in a TODAY segment, “[The] story is really about the increasing evil of a man named Nero who was one of the Caesars. And none of them were good guys…And then the juxtaposed against the story of the Apostle Paul who started out a very bad guy too.”
“He murdered the believers, the followers of Jesus at the time… but he thought he was being righteous. Does that sound familiar? He thought he had a zeal for God… [but] had a lust for power,” she explained.
But then he had an encounter with God on the road to Damascus, and his life was transformed.
This is the author’s second endeavor in her Ancient Evil, Living Hope series, which juxtaposes an ancient believer against a suppressor. The series first book is Herod and Mary. You can find her books on Amazon, and wherever books are sold.
