Mario Lopez’s Faith-Focused Reminder? ‘Stay Prayed Up’

Less than a week after the premiere of his new Great American Family movie, Mario Lopez reminded his fans to keep their faith in focus.

“Great week here in New York City, beautiful mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral right now. I hope you have a blessed week,” Lopez said. “Take care. God Bless. Stay prayed up.”

Lopez had a noteworthy week, as his first project with Great American Family aired on the network. ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH, starring him and his wife, Courtney, brought to life a song-and-dance-filled story that centered around the true meaning of Christmas. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:

ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH is an unusually highly entertaining Christmas romance promoting Christmas spirit and the importance of community. Full of dancing, singing and festive fun, it’s a holiday delight. Great acting and choreography keep viewers clamoring for more fun. The movie opens with schoolchildren singing the classic Christmas carol “Silent Night.” It also has plenty of delightful singing, dancing and Christmas cheer promoting the reason for the season and celebrating love and community. ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH is a win!

The Lopezes’ first movie with Great American Family was particularly special because everyone in their family got involved.

“I really wanted my family to be involved in my first film for Great American Family,” Lopez said. “So, my wife, who’s wildly talented, sings, dances, acts [in this film] beautifully [as well as] my son, Dominic, who also sings, dances and acts. I was honored to have them be in the film with me. This is a very special project, and it’s come together great. And I’m very proud of them.”

“We’re no strangers working together,” he added. “But in this element, where we’re acting opposite each other and we have a journey where we fall in love, it’s a lot of fun and romantic.”
