Great American Movie will launch a new movie with Merritt Patterson, MEET ME IN THE MARGINS, on June 11 and has already launched a book hunt across the nation in connection with the romantic comedy.
Select autographed copies of the book of the same name, written by Melissa Ferguson, are sprinkled across America. The copies are wrapped in red bows and are designed to let readers be part of the story.
Each book has a special note that tells the finder that they are now “part of the story,” creating a personal connection between the movie, the book, and the audience.
Finders are encouraged to snap a photo of where they found it and tag @merritt_pattrsn, @greatamericanpureflix, @greatamericanfamily and @ourfriendlyfarmhouse on social media to win a free month of Great American Pure Flix.

“Happy finding — and we can’t wait for you to discover the books and fall in love with the movie!✨” Great American shared on its social platforms.
The movie’s synopsis reads, “Savannah Cade, a quietly brilliant editor at a prestigious publishing house, secretly dreams of becoming a romance novelist, until her hidden manuscript is discovered and anonymously critiqued in the margins. As mysterious notes push her to rewrite both her book and her own tendency to stay silent, Savannah must decide whether to protect her career or finally speak up for the stories, and herself, that matter most. What begins as a professional risk slowly becomes a transformative love story about courage, creativity, and being seen.”
The movie also stars Liam McIntyre and Marisa Brown.
Another one of Ferguson’s books, The Christmas Yes List, which comes out in October, will also be made into a movie by Great American Family for the winter season, the author shared on her Instagram.
MEET ME IN THE MARGINS premieres on Great American Pure Flix, on June 11 and on Great American Family and GFAM+ on June 13.
Another upcoming GAF summer movie is A PRINCE IN PARADISE: A ROYAL WEDDING with Rhiannon Fish and Mitchell Bourke.
The synopsis reads, “From sunlit paradise to heartfelt romance, the A PRINCE IN PARADISE saga has captivated audiences with royal charm. Now, in the third chapter, A PRINCE IN PARADISE: A ROYAL WEDDING, Prince Alexander (Bourke) is ready to marry Olivia (Fish), a commoner. But when a bitter lord invokes ancient laws to block the union, Olivia, a romance writer, stumbles upon a hidden diary tucked within an old volume of history, revealing a long-lost truth that may be the key to saving her happily ever after royalty.”
It comes out on Aug. 1.
