Natalie Portman’s ‘Most Important’ Role Was on BLUEY

Natalie Portman says her role on BLUEY was one of her “most important” roles.

“I was a narrator of a nature documentary that [the BLUEY characters] were watching,” Portman said. “It’s a very important show for my family and I was really, really honored to get to be part of it.”

Portman voiced a character in the episode “Whale Watching” called the “Whale Doco Narrator.”

“It’s so wonderful,” she said. “It’s pure joy.”

The actress shares son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, 7, with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.

“I’m blessed by my kids who turned me into a mom and make me smile and laugh every single day,” Portman said of her kids. “Who make me appreciate my mom even more for all the invisible things she did for me that I realize now as I try to live up to her mothering.”

Portman has also said her kids influence her choices in her acting career.

“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” she joked, referring to her recent role in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER.

“My [kids] were so enthralled by this process, getting to visit the set and see me dressed up in a cape. It made it really cool,” Portman said. “You know, it’s very rare that my kids are like, ‘Please go to work!’ Usually, it’s quite the opposite.”

STAR WARS sensation Natalie Portman believes children shouldn’t work in Hollywood.

Portman grew up in the entertainment industry as a child star. On the “Variety Award Circuit” podcast, the actress opened up about why Hollywood isn’t a place for kids.

“I would not encourage young people to go into this. I don’t mean ever; I mean as children,” Portman said on the podcast, per USA TODAY.

“I feel it was almost an accident of luck that I was not harmed, also combined with very overprotective, wonderful parents,” she continued. “You don’t like it when you’re a kid, and you’re grateful for it when you’re an adult.”

“I’ve heard too many bad stories to think that any children should be part of it,” Portman explained. “Having said that, I know all the conversations that we’ve been having these past few years. It’s made people more aware and careful. But ultimately, I don’t believe that kids should work. I think kids should play and go to school.”
