New England Patriots WR Describes God’s Holy Refining Process

New England Patriots wide receiver, Kendrick L. Bourne, is an outspoken Christian athlete who recently shared an inspiring message on his social media.
Bourne posted several photos of him and his teammates on the field and then captioned the post with, “When GOD changes you, it’s a process to become HOLY! A rebuild reminds me of GODS work! It’s a process! Gotta go through the fire to get the impurities out!”
The Patriots are currently 1-5 on the season and are sitting last in the AFC East division behind the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.
After the Patriots fifth loss this past weekend, head coach Jerod Mayo, told the media in a press conference, “We’ve just got to play better. We’ve got to coach better. We’ve got to win the turnover battle. We’ve got to do a better job with penalties early in the game.
“Big plays killed us,” Mayo continued. “They had two runs that were over 50 yards. You take those away and it looks a lot better, but at the same time, that’s what the NFL is. You’ve got to limit those big plays, and then offensively, we have to make big plays.”
One guy who plans to make big plays is Bourne. Although he is further down in the depth chart due to an injury, Bourne is patiently waiting his moment to step on the field.
However, regardless of his play time, Bourne is dead set on honoring God through it all and is just grateful for the opportunity to play professional football.
“Glorifying the Lord with the effort I put into the game! Some people would love to be in your shoes! So, step correctly,” Bourne wrote on his social media.
In another post, Bourne discussed why he was grateful for the injury he had.
“So much learned through the process,” he began. “GOD refined alotta things in me that I didn’t know I needed, until going through the process of being injured. Now we stronger! If it ain’t kill u it’ll make you stronger! Glad to be back out there wit the guys!”
