Nick Vujicic: ‘Our Treasure Is Not Here On Earth’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Author and speaker Nick Vujicic is encouraging people to “give Jesus the key to your heart.”

“Sometimes what you are praying for doesn’t come true,” he said in a conversation with TBN. “And the bottom line is this: if anyone tells you different, they’re lying. Because there are many times where God says no.”

Vujicic continued, “The beautiful thing about this is the big question that God asks everyone: ‘do you trust me? I sent my son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins. He raised himself from the grave. I will raise you when you die. Our treasure is not here on Earth. Our treasures are up there, and until that day, I’m going to be with you,’ says God.”

“‘I will carry you when you cannot walk. I’ll heal you along the way. Maybe not all the physical ailments will disappear, but I will give you all the strength that you need. My grace is sufficient, and I’m with you, and I’ll never leave you,’” he said, adding, “Give Jesus the key to your heart.”

Vujicic frequently speaks about God’s plan. He was born with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a condition which meant he was born without arms or legs.

“I realized two things,” he said in an I AM SECOND video. “Number one, the greatest miracle of all that I’ll ever receive in my life is my soul being saved; me being filled with the Holy Spirit, having a relationship with Jesus while I abide in Him and He abides in me. Him being my comfort, my strength, gives me guidance and wisdom throughout my life. But the second thing I realized, miraculously, He delights in using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.”

Vujicic has gone on to be a bestselling author and in-demand speaker.

“Nick has traveled to 78 countries, presenting on 3500 stages, to crowds as large as 800,000 people,” his website reads. “He works with education ministries of various nations, live streaming his anti-bullying messaging to youth, and also developed the Attitude Is Altitude Curriculum, helping to enforce values and positive attitudes for Gen Z. Meeting 25 Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Vice Presidents and at the same time addressing rescued human trafficked victims and orphans, Nick has a message of hope for everyone.”

The creator of THE CHOSEN, Dallas Jenkins, recently sat down with evangelist Nick Vujicic to discuss disability and the Christian faith.

Vujicic also encouraged Christians to not rely on a prosperity Gospel, but to realize that God does not always heal our physical ailments on this earth—but he promises to in heaven when we seek after him.

“We don’t know what we don’t know, so don’t you dare tell God that you’ve got a greater plan than him and don’t you tell me that the best plan you could ever imagine is for God to heal me,” he said. “Just because he gives you a physical miracle doesn’t mean that you’re going to be closest to him. The miracle of miracles is abiding in him and him abiding in you.”
