Upcoming Movie Combats Homelessness One Ticket at a Time
By Movieguide® Contributor
A new movie from Robert Craig Films details the sad reality of homelessness and offers a look at life’s second chances.
NO ADDRESS is inspired by “true events.”
“…this compelling drama captures the journey of a group of individuals experiencing homelessness,” a synopsis reads. “The film is a cinematic exploration of hope, humanity and resilience as the characters navigate the stormy challenges of life with no physical address, showcasing the reality that homelessness could happen to anyone.”
Starring Ashanti, William Baldwin, Xander Berkeley and Ty Pennington, the movie will hit theaters Feb. 28.
“The plight of the homeless people I have met has touched me deeply, and so I created this story as a homage to those who are not on the streets by choice,” director and screenwriter Julia Verdin explained. “Those people who need our love, compassion and help. They are human beings too.”
Homelessness in America has reached crisis levels, but many have stepped up to help.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness reported that in 2023, more people served in shelters, permanent housing supply grew, more people left temporary housing for permanent housing, fewer people have returned to homelessness and the growth of unsheltered homelessness slowed down.
But despite the improvements, homelessness is still rising, and people need our help. “Over the course of 2023, nearly one million people (970,806 people) experienced homelessness for the first time, the highest number ever recorded,” the group said.
NO ADDRESS will do more than just raise awareness about the issue, though. It will donate a large portion of its proceeds to organizations combatting homelessness.

Robert Craig Films released AMERICANS WITH NO ADDRESS: THE DOCUMENTARY last year which also explores the topic.
More than a million homeless people in the United States lack basic needs, self-worth, medical care, and a sense of community. Each person has inherent dignity, because every person is created in God’s image. The government may have failed, but private citizens have rallied to answer the call. AMERICANS WITH NO ADDRESS: THE DOCUMENTARY stands apart because it lays out the need, while also highlighting some solutions. However, the movie has plenty of disturbing content about crime, poverty, substance abuse, and mental illness. Strong caution is advised for pre-teenage children.
