New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston wears his faith on his sleeve — literally.
The athlete recently opened up about his partnership with Christian athletic clothing company, Three Nails Clothing.
“When I first came across Three Nails, the first thing that I saw was one of my favorite verses,” Winston said in an Instagram video.
He then recited Matthew 6:33: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
“I love to serve Christ and to live a life that imitates Him. So, when I saw that, I was like, ‘Wow. This is something that I want: to put on something that I want to represent,” he said.
“The message is bigger than the moment,” the quarterback wrote as the caption of the post.
Three Nails founder and CEO, Derek Dahl, joined Winston in New York City in early May to kick off the collaboration.
“First time in NYC — and I couldn’t have asked for a better crew to experience it with. Big thanks to my brothers @joejustwin @ac_247 and @oz.tography for making this collab come to life,” Dahl wrote in a post on Instagram.
“[Winston] is as real as they come. From his patience on set to deep convos about furthering the Kingdom of God over dinner — Moments like this remind me that it’s all God — His people, His timing, His favor, His purpose. I won’t take this for granted. Next chapter loading…🚀” the CEO added.

Dahl founded Three Nails Clothing in 2017 with a mission “to provide Kingdom athletes with premium sportswear that represents their faith and allows them to perform at a high level.”
Part of every sale that Three Nails makes goes to Agape International Missions, an organization with the goal “to free hearts, lives, and communities from the evil of sex trafficking in Jesus’ name and in Jesus’ way.”
“For over 15 years, Agape International Missions (AIM) has been doing whatever it takes to rescue, heal and empower survivors of trafficking to be free,” Three Nails wrote on its website. “We are thrilled to partner with AIM in this fight to bring freedom at all costs. Young girls are being sold for sex every night. This is absolutely unacceptable, so we partner with AIM in their work to relentlessly rescue, heal, and empower these kids to be free.”
Like Winston, we too can boldly declare our faith. Whether that’s through the clothes we wear, the words we speak or how we treat others, our lives should exemplify what it means to live for Jesus.
