Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, one of Twitch’s most-followed streamers, recently used his platform to share his Christian faith.
“No one can serve two masters…You cannot serve both God and money,” he read from a devotional, No More Excuses: A 90-Day Devotional for Men.
Blevins told his Twitch followers that it can be “so hard,” admitting he had to “reshape [his] priorities and rearrange them greatly” to get to a more healthy place. Now, the Twitch streamer’s daily routine looks a little different.
“The first thing I do when I wake up is I stretch, I read the Bible and I pray,” he shared. “And that’s really hard. That was like a really hard thing to do. The first thing in the morning that I would do for the last 20 years of my life would be, like, checking my phone. And the first thing I do now is pray.”
He also shared in another stream that he and his wife Jessica have started attending church every Sunday, saying, “Jess and I are going through this journey where [we are pursuing] our relationship with God and Jesus.”
This isn’t the first time Blevins has spoken publicly about his faith. In a recent stream, he proclaimed to his followers, “Jesus is King.”
“We don’t need something like the threat of the end of times to start becoming better humans and developing a relationship with the Lord,” he continued, adding “The most important thing I preach personally is that you just gotta love everybody — and I mean everybody. It’s all about respect and never belittling someone else’s faith.”
In a 2019 stream, Blevins told his followers his mother was told by doctors to abort him, as they thought he might be born with “spina bifida or Down syndrome or a number of diseases.”
He thanked his mother for not listening to her doctors, saying, “Nothing wrong with me. My mom is a saint and an angel and I love her to death.”
In a Mother’s Day video made for ESPN, Blevins thanked his mother for her guidance in his life.

“You always taught me that God has a plan, and for that I thank you so much and I love you so much for that,” he said. “All I want to do is keep being the man you raised me to be and bring as much joy into other people’s lives as you do into others every day.”
