Popular Twitch Streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins Declares ‘Jesus is King’

In a recent live stream, Tyler “Ninja” Belvins declared to his audience that Jesus is King and that he prays to the Lord every night.
“Jesus is king,” Ninja said during the stream. “Even if you don’t think He is, don’t judge me for it and I won’t judge you for it.
Ninja is one of the most popular creators in the streaming space. He shot to superstardom in early 2018, becoming the most popular streamer on Twitch through his Fortnite gameplay, which had been released a few months earlier. Because of his, at the time, never-before-seen level of success, Ninja gained mainstream popularity as well, going on to appear as a guest on multiple talk shows and on other forms of traditional media and being vocal about his faith.
“This is just about life, when you’re talking to somebody and you’re having a conversation. That’s an important conversation, right? There’s two sides to it, definitely.”
He said, “When you’re talking to someone, don’t talk to that person to change their mind…You’re just talking to them, right? And if you end up changing their mind, that’s great.”
Though his popularity has since dipped, Ninja remains a recognizable streamer with 19.2 million followers on Twitch. He reaches tens of thousands of viewers every time he goes live.
As Ninja discussed his faith on stream, he revealed that his belief in God comes not from fear but from recognizing that he is a fallen being and needs God in order to do good.
“We don’t need something like the threat of the end of times to start becoming better humans and developing a relationship with the Lord,” he said. “You know what I mean, dude? Anyways, I’m never here to push anything on you guys. I love you all no matter what. And in the chat, we respect all religions, all people… we love everybody, dude.”
He explained how a relationship with the Lord has changed his life, revealing that he has started praying every night and noticed a shift in his life since.
“I can confidently say, I feel like I’m all around a better person and in a better mindset since I started praying every night,” Ninja said, adding, “The most important thing I preach personally is that you just gotta love everybody. And I mean everybody. It’s all about respect and never belittling someone else’s faith, no matter what it is.”
It is encouraging to see someone with such a large platform, especially among younger people, share their faith and encourage others to turn towards the Lord.
